Goals:

• Acquire a linguistic foundation that enables speaking, reading, and writing.

• Feel comfortable in Arabic – enjoy, experiment, and gain confidence.

  
  

Topics:

• Basics of reading and writing in Arabic script, pronunciation and basic sounds, gender in the Arabic language.

• Getting to know others: questions and answers, basic emotions, family and friends, cafe and market (basics), times of day, simple daily routine, everyday situations.

• Numbers, colors, days of the week, polite expressions, and basic navigation vocabulary.

Linguistic Content:

• Verb system: root-and-pattern structure, basic verb forms, imperfect tense, and the active participle (intro).

• Pronouns, singular/plural, gender and number agreement, basic prepositions and conjunctions, construct phrases (iḍāfa), basic nouns, simple sentence structures.
